Mrs. Kelly Shoffner is returning to I-SS from her most recent position as a principal in Rowan-Salisbury Schools. During her previous tenure with Iredell-Statesville Schools, she was an instructional facilitator with South Iredell High School before becoming their Freshman Academy and Curriculum Assistant Principal from 2013-2016. After South, she gained elementary experience as an assistant principal with East Iredell Elementary School for several years before moving on to Rowan-Salisbury.

Some of her successes include increased student lexile scores, improved freshman retention, focus on STEM labs, improved programs for MTSS, and more.

Furthermore, she holds a Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction, as well as principal certification, from Appalachian State University.

Mrs. Shoffner is married with two children, one of whom will be attending South Iredell this year. She is honored to be offered the opportunity to serve the students, staff, and community of the Viking Nation; and she  is looking forward to meeting everyone at our open house in August.
