Check out Camp Med at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center this summer! The program includes over 20 contact hours of clinical experiences, presentations, tours, and observations. It is free of charge and runs July 16-18. If interested, please stop by student services and pick up an application from Ms. Kurfees.

Get a jump start on the year and pay your student's 23-24 EAS-E Technology Fee today! The EAS-E Technology fee is $30 for all students and must be paid in order to receive a device, along with any outstanding fees.

SIHS students cannot purchase a parking pass, attend prom, or participate in any athletics or extracurricular activities unless the EAS-E Technology Fee and other outstanding fees are paid in full. Payment can be made online through Online School Payments or in person with cash or check made out to SIHS.

Tech fees and all pre-existing invoices must be paid before a device will be deployed.

Return to SIHS at 2:45PM

You must ride on the activity bus from school to the luau. In order to attend, you must have paid your senior dues by May 3rd and turn in a signed copy of the permission slip to the bus monitor the day of the luau.

Don't forget to bring a towel and sunscreen!

Attention Seniors:

The SIHS Academic Boosters are providing three graduating Vikings with a $500 scholarship this year. In order to be considered as a potential recipient for this scholarship, students must meet the following criterion:

*Graduating Senior at SIHS pursuing higher education in the form of college, trade school, etc.

*Student who exemplifies the profile of a Viking - Inquirer, Knowledgeable, Thinker, Communicator, Principled, Open-minded, Caring, Risk- taker, Balanced and Reflective.

Please complete this form below to be considered for this scholarship award. Applications are due no later than 11:59 pm on May 3rd.

Senior Cap and Gown Group Photo will be taken Thursday, April 25th at 9 AM in the stadium if weather permits. If not, the photo will be taken in the new gym. YOU MUST bring your own cap and gown. Gold SIHS sashes will be given out that day.

All seniors are welcome to come. There will be a QR code to scan to order the picture at a late date.

Cheerleading tryouts will be held April 29th through May 1st from 4-5:30 PM in the New Gym. Students should ONLY wear a white shirt, black/navy bottoms to tryouts (no SIHS cheer apparel). Congratulations to Nachammai Annamalai for being selected as one of the 40 National Aspirations in Computing Winners by the National Center for Women in Technology and Informatics (NCWIT) in 2024. This honor recognizes high-school women, non-binary, and genderqueer individuals who utilize technology to make a difference in their communities and beyond. Out of a 3,300 applicant pool, she was recognized for her ongoing dedication to using computing to enact social change within her local and global reach.

If you need a 2023-2024 Student Parking Pass for SIHS and did not yet apply using the link shared out via student email, please fill out the form using this link.

 

Please read through the details in the application and email any questions to Mr. Culbreth (michael_culbreth@iss.k12.nc.us), SIHS Assistant Principal. Payment options ($50 for the year) will be available in July. If you have a preference or request, please note that in the appropriate section in the application below. Requests will be honored based on the order in which they are received and seniority (12-11-10-9). We will park as many students as possible, but please keep in mind that not all students who apply will receive a parking pass and may have to be waitlisted. Once you have completed the application and paid the fee, you will be notified of your assignment and will be given the day/time options for picking up your parking pass.

Bus Request Information

If your student needs a bus for the current school year, you must complete the Returning Student Information form.  Just click on the Enroll button in the top right hand corner of the ISS Website, choose Returning Student and complete the form.  You will be asked for a Snap Code.  This was emailed to you on June 13th. If you did not receive it, please email Laura Elliott at lelliott@iss.k12.nc.us for the information.  This will allow to request transportation.

If you would like to use Here Comes the Bus, our district's school bus tracking app, visit their website for more information.  The Here Comes the Bus App can be dowloaded from the App Store or Google Play Store.  Our school code is 76231.
